Upcycled... the lifestyle of 2009

Upcycling is a component of sustainability in which waste materials are used to provide new products. It is generally a reinvestment in the environment. "Upcycling is the practice of taking something that is disposable and transforming it into something of greater use and value."[citation needed] This process allows for the reduction of waste and use of virgin materials.
ok, so my upcycled purse really isn't contributing to saving the planet, but it vital component to making it cuter! I purchased a plain leather clutch at my local thrift store and added a bit of stitching and a couple of buttons. Now this delightful little bag will get more love than it would have sitting in the bin at the thrift store. I bought 2 more bags today in hopes of making a few more cute clutches!
